Physical Fitness Requirements

To be eligible for the Female Assistant Prison Officer position, you must meet the following physical standards:

I. General Physical Requirements

• Height: You must be at least 150 cm tall. This requirement is also applicable to candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories.

• Physical Defects: You must be free from any apparent physical defects, including knock knees, flat feet, varicose veins, bow legs, deformed limbs, irregular and protruding teeth, or defective speech and hearing.

II. Eyesight Standards

Your vision must be certified as meeting the following standards without the use of glasses:

• Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen for both the Right and Left Eye.

• Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen for both the Right and Left Eye.

• Field of Vision: Each eye must have a full field of vision.

• Disqualifications: You will be disqualified if you have colour blindness, a squint, or any other morbid conditions of the eye or lids.

III. Physical Efficiency Test

You must qualify in at least five out of the eight events listed below from the National Physical Efficiency One Star Standard Test:
